The CELL

There's a reason they call that place The Cell. Ironically, it's not because a good majority of White Sox fans have spent or will soon spend time behind bars. It's actually because the place is as crazy as Shawshank. You could ask Tom Gamboa, the Royals first base coach that was mauled by a drunken, bare-chested, father-son duo in 2002, but that opinion might be a little dated. Here's what Michael Barrett had to say about stepping to the plate Sunday after understandably cold-cocking what's his name:
"I expected the crowd to react in a way that they did," Barrett said. "That is their right. All in all, I appreciate the White Sox fans' class. It was bad, but nobody came on the field to try to hurt me, and I appreciate that."
