The Inevitable

I was in this town in Ecuador less than two months ago. Yesterday, the active Volcano above the city erupted for the 14th time. The people had actually been given orders to evacuate months ago, but were too proud to leave. We confronted people on this issue while there, and the common responses were "this is my home, I will never leave" and "there is a valley between us and Tungurahua that prevents any serious devastation to the town."
