it's a christmas miracle!!

i'm posting a blog. after several harassing im's from drew and a threatening phone call from clarke, i've decided that the time has come - i've kept the online world waiting too long for my spectacular debut. it was really just a matter of not having "the" story to debut with...after four months in this city though, i think i've finally got one (sad).

so saturday night, i'm with my boyfriend greg (who i met through chris yonan - they are roommates and know eachother from northwestern) and we're deciding what to do. he suggests we go hang out at his friend mamie's parents apartment b/c she's having people over. sidenote - mamie's mom is meryl streep. unfortunately, her parents (i.e. meryl) are out of town, so my "death becomes her" poster will have to get autographed another time. we hop in a cab and head to the upper west side, under the impression that we are going to their temporary rental apartment, as they are in the process of moving. we arrive at a high-rise on columbus circle and make our way to the 50th floor penthouse. basically, it is the most ridiculous apartment i have ever been in. floor to ceiling windows with amazing views of central park and the hudson river, and about 20 times the size of our shoebox in the east village. after about ten minutes, the truth comes out about the apartment - it is not some random rental...it is actually GOLDIE HAWN'S. apparently meryl and goldie are friends and she's just lending her the apartment for a little while. this is my face --> =0 the sad/funny thing is, everyone else is completely unaffected by this while i, trying to hide my excitement, am stealthily taking pictures w/ my phone of a pic of goldie and kate hudson, or browsing her CD collection (and opening her wrapped celine dion CD), and...using her bathroom, giant gold vanity and all. well no, i didn't, but i heard all about it from greg! so we spend the rest of the night there, lounging around on her giant pillow-couches and drinking her gin. ok so it's not the most amazing celeb apt to be in, and i doubt it will ever be on cribs, but it was still pretty damn cool!!

i'll try and write more from now on...i know that reading this was the highlight of drew's day.
