Hotel

Has anyone ever noticed the clothesline that pulls across most hotel showers? I hope this is just my complete ignorance, and the device does serve a purpose other than hanging clothes. Do they really think you are washing your socks in the sink to drape across this line? Most showers already have a towel rack at the foot of the shower for all your dry rack needs. Can someone educate me here? On a positive note, the outlet in the desk lamp was sheer genius. I want to personally thank this inventor, and hope to someday make such an influential contribution to business traveling society.
